About Me
I am a postdoc research fellow and subgroup leader at VCG Harvard, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University and a senior research scientist at the Laboratory of Systems Pharmacology, Harvard Medical School. I received my MS in Computer Science and Media at the Stuttgart Media University in 2012 and my Ph.D. degree (Dr. rer. nat.) in Computer Science at the Institute for Visualization and Interactive Systems, University of Stuttgart in 2017. My research interests lie in the field of data visualization and visual analytics for on spatial and spatially-referenced multivariate data with a focus on biomedical visualization.

Our new approach Residency Octree: A Hybrid Approach for Scalable Web-Based Multi-Volume Rendering aids biomedical experts in visually exploring and analyzing large and multiplexed 3D tissue data in the web. It will be published on IEEE Explore and presented at IEEE VIS 2023 in Melbourne.

I am excited to announce that I will start as an Assistant Professor (tenure track) at NYU in New York City this fall! I am looking forward to join the team at the Visualization Imaging and Data Analysis Center (VIDA) at NYU Tandon.

Since Fall 2021 I am leading a subgroup at VCG Harvard that collaborates with the Laboratory of Systems Pharmacology (at Harvard Medical School) on visualization and analysis of biomedical datasets.

Two new papers accepted for IEEE VIS 2021 and the Transaction on Visualization and Computer Graphics journal. Scope2Screen is a focus+context-based exploration and annotation approach for large multiplex biomedical image data, and GenNI is a human-AI collaboration for data-backed text generation.
